CPWD Online Tenders / Central Public Works Department eProcurement



Vendors can access the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) tenders portal at https://www.tenderwizard.com/ROOTAPP/CPWD.jsp?company=CPWD. Users are advised to understand the changes made in CPWD works manual Section 20A.12. These changes will be applicable for notice inviting tender from 15/04/2014 onwards. The cost of tender documents for CPWD tenders has been waived off. Also the tender processing fee has to be paid via online payment modes such as credit cards, debit cards or net banking.  Demand drafts would not be accepted for CPWD e-procurement. There are changes in the process for submission of the earnest money deposit for CPWD online tenders. Users can obtain the information in the CPWD memo number DG/MAN/303 available on www.cpwd.gov.in.

Vendors have to obtain a valid class 3 digital signature certificate for participation in CPWD e-procurement. As per new guidelines by the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), it takes about ten days for digital signature certificate (DSC) processing after physical submission of the application at the CPWD helpdesk. Buyers are advised to purchase a valid digital signature certificate well in advance.

The Information Technology Act provides for CCA to license and regulate the working of certifying authorities (CAs) and ensure that none of the provisions of the Act are violated. The CAs issue digital signature certificates for electronic authentication of users.
