Cochin Port Trust invites civil tenders through their online portal https://www.tenderwizard.com/ROOTAPP/CPT.jsp?company=CPT. To register on the CPT e-tenders, portal vendors and contractors have to submit his/her basic information, company-related information, and contact details. A valid digital signature certificate (DSC) is required to register on the portal. The following details regarding the user’s DSC are required to fill out the registration form:

•    User name
•    Serial number
•    Digital certificate issuer
•    Name of certificate owner
•    Certificate expiry date
•    Class of digital signature certificate

Class 3 digital signature certificate is mandatory for vendors to participate in the CPT e-tendering system. Buyers can also obtain guidelines stipulated for use of class 3 DSC from the buyer department. Digital signatures can be purchased from any certifying authority licensed by the Controller of Certifying Authority, India. Safescrypt, India’s leading certifying agency, issues sify class 3 digital signature certificates after verifying the applicant’s identity.

After obtaining the certificate, vendors can log-in with the e-token containing sify class 3 DSC. The certificate number will be automatically updated in the registered user’s profile during his/ her first login. Alternatively, certificate owners can send the certificate serial number to CPT representatives with authenticated documents. Their profile will be updated with the DSC serial number.

After registering on the portal, vendors have to make an online payment of Rs. 1124 to complete the registration process. The user name and password for the CPT e-procurement portal will be enabled only after the payment is received. Users can also contact the help desk for activating their user name on 08040482000 or 9686196760. After activation, users are recommended to log in to the CPT e-tenders website and modify their password and update the digital signature certificate.

During vendor registration, a scanned copy of the registration certificate, a requisition letter and other supporting documents and have to be uploaded on the system. Vendors who have successfully registered on the CPT e-procurement portal, will receive email communication. After registration, users can modify/update the email address through the ‘Modify Profile’ link. Registered users can view the latest tenders in tender free view. The CPT e-tenders portal has received certification from Digicert.

On the portal, users can also verify whether PKI security components have been installed in their browser. If not, they can update their browser settings. ActiveX controls of the web browser need to be enabled. The URL has to be added to ‘Trusted sites’ in the browser. The help desk can be contacted in case any assistance is required.

The e-token that comes along with a sify DSC is password protected. For the PKI log in, the vendor has to use the password. In case the vendor forgets his/her the password, the token will be blocked for security reasons.
